The Ukrainian delegation, which includes Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and the president's adviser Mykhailo Podolyak, arrived at the Ukrainian-Belarusian border earlier on Monday morning.
Russian Presidential Adviser Vladimir Medinsky, who heads Russia's delegation, has also arrived.
The idea is that it should be an unconditional meeting.
- The goal is immediate ceasefire and that Russia withdraws its troops, says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a speech before the meeting.
At the same time, Zelensky has said in advance that he has no great hopes for the meeting.
- Honestly: I do not really think the meeting will lead to anything, but let them try, he said in a video released on Sunday afternoon.
