“The ambassador was strongly protested in connection with the actions of hostile elements near the diplomatic missions of Russia in the United States and the inactivity of American law enforcement agencies in a number of cases,” the message on the Foreign Ministry website says.
A demand was conveyed to urgently take comprehensive measures to ensure the inviolability of Russian foreign missions.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry protested the Canadian Ambassador to Moscow, Alison Leclerc, against the backdrop of protests near Russian diplomatic institutions in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.
