The firefighters had to call on members of the Grimp, the Group for recognition and intervention in dangerous environments, to come to the aid of the victim.

The intervention on the spot of a helicopter, the Dragon 34, was also necessary, in order to be able to hoist the rescuers at the level of the paraglider.

He was released, safe and sound.

The man was taken to Alès hospital, but his condition did not require medical treatment, say the firefighters.
