This is a promise check that verifies the promises of presidential candidates.

Today (28th), we looked at the promises related to small businesses suffering from Corona.

This is reporter Jang Hoon-kyung.

40-year-old Gong-sin opened a new cafe that said that when the sales of pubs fell by a quarter due to the corona virus, it was the only way to do business.

He had to borrow another 70 million won.

The compensation for the loss in the third quarter that the government promised was equivalent to a month's rent.

You can survive with a loan, but fixed expenses such as rent are always a burden.

Presidential candidates also made pledges for small businesses focused on easing the burden of fixed costs.

Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung has introduced a 'Korean-style payroll program' in which a loan of 50 million won is used for fixed expenses, and principal and interest are exempted.

It also promised to issue 50 trillion won of local currency annually to stimulate consumption.

/Democratic Presidential Candidate: Let’s borrow policy funds and forgive fixed expenses, so let’s live a little bit, so let’s save the economy, so this is my job, do you agree?]

Instead of introducing a rent sharing system in which the rent is shared by one-third, it is decided to give lessors benefits such as tax credits.

The quarantine subsidy also announced that it would pay 6 million won in addition to the 4 million won paid so far.

[Yoon Seok-yeol/People's Power Presidential Candidate: (Maximum quarantine support) We plan to give 10 million won each.

To save money later, you have to spend it quickly and splendidly.]

Justice Party candidate Shim Sang-jung promised to reduce rent burden, support businesses excluding loss compensation, and apply retroactively, and Ahn Cheol-su of the People's Party also held special accounts for COVID-19. It was newly established and promised to compensate up to 80% of fixed expenses by raising 30 trillion won per year and 150 trillion won within the term of office.

However, the reaction of small business owners is cold despite such a huge pledge of support.

Why?

About 40% of all small business owners, or 3 million businesses, are small businesses that cannot accurately estimate rents and labor costs from the National Tax Service.

If you want to support them with fixed costs, you must first decide how to calculate the fixed costs, but the answer to this question is missing.

[Kim Ki-hong/Co-CEO of Self-Employment Non-Captain: (Promise) that the 'how' to do something that has not been done even now is missing.]

In addition, Lee Jae-myung and Yoon Seok-yeol, two prominent candidates, are both for supporting small business owners. It was evaluated that it was insufficient by the Policy Association because there was only a saying that they would spend money, but there was no way to manage financial soundness.
