Improving the living environment in rural areas is related to the fundamental well-being of farmers, the health of farmers, and the construction of a beautiful China.

Since the implementation of the three-year action to improve the rural living environment in 2018, all regions and departments have comprehensively promoted the improvement of the rural living environment, the village environment has basically been clean, tidy and orderly, the farmers' concept of environmental hygiene has changed gratifyingly, and the quality of life has generally improved.

  Clean and orderly garbage classification

Spacious and clean roads, freshly painted houses... Walking into Zhoujiazhuang Village, Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, there are two small garbage cans, one green and one black, in front of every household.

"Green is kitchen waste, and black is other waste." Zhang Yulan, a 66-year-old villager, is a cleaner in the village. Every morning, she drives the village's garbage collection truck from the small square in the center of the village to collect garbage from house to house.

Village collection, township transfer, county processing.

On the west side of the entrance of Zhoujiazhuang Village, there is a garbage collection point, which is the end point of Zhang Yulan's tour of the village.

"The garbage in the village is transported here after collection, and the county sanitation company directly pulls it away." Zhang Yulan said.

A few years ago, Zhang Yulan's biggest headache was the garbage problem in the village.

At that time, every ten households in Zhoujiazhuang Village were equipped with a large trash can, and some villagers would throw them everywhere... Last year, Zhengding County began to implement the treatment of "consolidating large buckets, entering small buckets into households, door-to-door collection, and centralized transportation" model, and Zhoujiazhuang Village became one of the first villages in the county to be piloted.

"Two 30-liter garbage sorting bins are placed at the door of the house, and villagers can throw garbage when they open the door. Since the small bins have entered the house, the phenomenon of littering and littering in the village has decreased, and the villagers' awareness of environmental protection has improved." Zhang Ningning, secretary of the Party branch of Zhoujiazhuang Village, said.

"In order to solve the problem of rural domestic waste disposal and improve the living environment in rural areas, we have implemented the classification and centralized disposal of rural domestic waste in the whole county, and also promoted the establishment of 'garbage exchange banks' in villages. For example, 40 beverage bottles can be exchanged for 1 bar of soap. We have formulated a conversion table for waste exchange items to stimulate the enthusiasm of villagers to participate in waste classification and disposal." Cao Guohong, deputy director of Zhengding County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, introduced that at present, a total of 63 villages in the county have completed domestic waste classification and centralized disposal, and 52 villages have implemented Get the keg and enter the house.

"This year, we will carry out various activities to attract more villagers to participate in improving the living environment in rural areas." Cao Guohong said.

Sewage treatment is clean and assured

In the early morning of February 12, Lv Shihai, a villager from Shishili Village, Panjin City, Liaoning Province, came to the small sewage treatment station in the village.

After walking around to have a look, and then strolling by the river, looking at the clear stream, Lao Lu was very satisfied.

Speaking of this small sewage treatment station, Lao Lu is very proud: "Now we have the same conditions as the city, and sewage treatment can be done in the village."

The 58-year-old Lao Lu has more than ten acres of paddy fields at home. In addition to farming, he also grows vegetables and raises chickens and geese in front of his house.

In the past, I didn't have to worry about living, but it was very inconvenient to deal with domestic sewage.

After all, farmers are scattered, sewage collection is difficult, and the cost of the pipeline network is high, which cannot be afforded by families.

In order to solve the problem of rural sewage collection and treatment, Panjin City actively improves the level of domestic sewage treatment, relying on special financial funds to build rural sewage pipe network and install small sewage treatment facilities.

Now in Panjin, rural domestic sewage can be directly discharged to the sewage treatment station through the pipe network, and the domestic sewage in 131 administrative villages has been effectively treated, benefiting 386,000 rural people.

In Lu Shihai's house, the sewer network and leak-proofing are all available in the north house on the east side, which is exactly the same as in the city.

Lu Shihai said: "More than 500 households in the village have basically installed sewer pipes."

The pipeline network is complete, and it is not a one-time thing to change the living habits of the villagers.

"At the beginning of the renovation, everyone thought it was troublesome, and they were afraid that the returned water would have a peculiar smell, so their enthusiasm was not high." Lao Lu said.

In order to improve the hygiene habits of the villagers, the work team stationed in the village went door-to-door to teach hygiene knowledge and teach the villagers how to use the sewage valve.

Seeing that the treated water was clean, clear and free of odors, the villagers slowly figured it out and took the initiative to ask for hygiene.

After years of operation, the sewage treatment facilities are stable, and the effluent quality has reached the first-class B standard.

Lu Shihai said: "The inspectors told us that the sewage has been treated, and the water quality has reached the relevant standards. There is no problem in watering vegetables and farming. Now, the ditches in the village are clean, and everyone's life is more comfortable."

  Quality improvement of toilet renovation

On February 10, in Xiazhuang Village, Luoyang City, Henan Province, white walls and black tiles, Yishui gurgling.

The clean and tidy village is full of lanterns and colorful, full of strong New Year's flavor.

"This year's Spring Festival, the children stayed at home for five days, I was overjoyed." 60-year-old Zhang Huiying had a smile on her face.

In previous years, when the children came back from family visits, it was difficult to stay at home for a few more days because they were not used to dry toilets.

Xiazhuang Village is located on the outskirts of the city, and the villagers' lives are considered affluent.

The gatehouses and courtyards of every household are all dressed up beautifully, except for one dry toilet that makes people uncomfortable.

"It's unsightly and inconvenient." Zhang Huiying said.

Well-off is not well-off, the toilet counts as one.

In 2019, Xiazhuang Village launched the "toilet revolution".

Under the leadership of the party organization in the village, the county financed a little bit, the village collective got a little bit, and the masses contributed a little bit. More than 500 villagers have successively demolished the dry toilets and changed the water for flushing, and the quality of life has been upgraded all at once.

Walking into the new bathroom of Zhang Huiying's house, the walls are tiled and clean, with toilets, water heaters, and washing machines, just like an urban family.

"Just press it lightly, and with a bang, everything is washed away. It doesn't stink in summer, it's not cold in winter, and you can take a bath at any time." Zhang Huiying was very satisfied. "Now that the children come back, they are willing to stay for a few more days."

  Small toilet, big livelihood.

In recent years, Luoyang City has adhered to local conditions and classified policies, comprehensively considered the location of the village, population size, industrial layout and future development, scientifically determined methods and methods, and promoted the reconstruction of toilets and domestic sewage. Promote the extension and coverage of the urban sewage pipe network; in the central villages with concentrated population, build sewage treatment facilities contiguously for centralized treatment; in the villages with a small population, promote the construction of large three-grid septic tanks, unpowered wetlands, oxidation ponds and other facilities , to achieve ecological treatment.

At present, Luoyang has completed a total of 581,000 toilet renovations, and implemented whole village renovations to 824 villages.

As the shortcomings of the toilet revolution are accelerated, the living environment in rural areas is becoming more and more beautiful and comfortable.
