More than 120,000 people benefit from the Red Crescent winter aid in Jordan

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority has strengthened its humanitarian efforts and relief programs to reduce the repercussions of extreme cold and bad weather conditions on the lives of the affected and refugees in Jordan, and provided more winter aids that benefit more than 120,000 people in a number of Jordanian governorates. The aid included heating devices, blankets and blankets. And winter clothes as well as food parcels and baby supplies.

The Red Crescent delegation present in the Jordanian arena supervised the distribution of aid to the Jordanian brothers affected by the winter repercussions, as well as the Syrian refugees in the Emirati-Jordanian camp in Marajeeb Al Fhood and other camps in Jordan.

The distribution extended to refugees outside the camps who live with their relatives or hosted by Jordanian families, and the Commission allocated a large proportion of this aid to vulnerable segments of people of determination, the elderly and children, to protect them from the repercussions of low temperatures and extreme cold, and to limit the outbreak of winter diseases among them.

The commission's delegation, in cooperation with the Emirati-Jordanian camp administration, moves daily relief convoys to Jordanian neighborhoods and refugee camps on the Syrian-Jordanian border, with the aim of securing the refugees' needs for food, clothing and shelter.

The delegation undertakes a number of other humanitarian tasks, foremost of which is inspecting the conditions of the affected and refugees, and identifying their needs and promptly responding to them.

Dr. Muhammad Ateeq Al-Falahi, Secretary-General of the Red Crescent Authority, confirmed that this aid comes within the winter campaign program implemented by the authority within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, head of the authority, to help those affected by cold waves and climatic conditions in 26 countries around the world. the scientist.

He said that since the beginning of the winter, the Red Crescent has intensified its programs to support the targeted in various Jordanian cities and regions, and its strategy to support the Syrian brothers depends on strengthening the efforts undertaken by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in alleviating the suffering of refugees and improving their humanitarian conditions, and supporting initiatives that provide greater care for them in various Health, educational, social and living fields in general.
