Expo 2020 Dubai announced the abolition of the mandatory wearing of masks in outdoor and open places, while encouraging visitors and employees to commit to wearing them in outdoor recreational areas, which attract large numbers.

The exhibition continues to adhere to the precautionary measures adopted to combat the “Covid-19” pandemic, including the mandatory wearing of masks in indoor places.

In a statement, the exhibition indicated that "health and safety remain at the forefront of (Expo 2020 Dubai) priorities, and it will continue to follow strict precautionary measures throughout its site, as visitors aged 18 years and over must show evidence that they have received vaccination, or present a negative result." A PCR examination was conducted within a period not exceeding 72 hours from the date of the visit.

He added, "This comes in addition to other measures followed throughout the site, including maintaining the mandatory wearing of masks in indoor places for visitors, employees and participants, and providing BCR examination centers for employees of country pavilions, front-line workers, and entertainers."
