The Pentagon: Russia fired about 250 missiles at Ukraine

A senior representative of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) said that Russian forces had fired more than 250 missiles at targets in Ukraine by Saturday afternoon.

The Pentagon representative said in a press briefing today that most of the missiles were short-range.

He added, according to a copy of the statement, that the missiles hit "undoubtedly, civilian infrastructure and residential areas," contrary to Russian claims.

It was not clear whether this was intentional or by mistake.
