The arrival of the first train carrying refugees from Ukraine to the Czech Republic

The Czech Railways announced today, Saturday, the arrival of the first special train transporting refugees from Ukraine to the station of the city of Bohumen, located in the east of the country.

According to initial reports, the train carries a little more than 12 women and children, as the reason behind the reporting of such a low number of refugees is the chaos of information and traffic problems at the Ukrainian-Polish border.

A Ukrainian citizen who arrived on this train reported that there are long queues of refugees in Ukraine, noting that her daughter is already stuck at the border for the second day in light of her inability to reach Poland.

Another Ukrainian citizen spoke of a "humanitarian catastrophe".

Reports said that a second train belonging to the Czech railway company is currently waiting at the border town of Przemysl in the far southeast of Poland, so that it can transport more refugees from Ukraine.
