The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published pictures of what it said were prisoners of Russian forces and pro-Russian separatists during the battles taking place on several fronts.

Pictures and videos posted on the official page of the Ukrainian forces on Facebook showed prisoners of the Russian forces receiving treatment for injuries they sustained during the battles.

It also showed another prisoner, who the Ukrainian forces said was a member of a Russian intelligence unit.

Among the prisoners, whose photos were published by the official page of the Ukrainian forces on Facebook, are elements of the separatist armed men loyal to Russia, who have been in control since 2014 of parts of the Donbass Basin (eastern Ukraine) within the so-called Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic.

In the comments attached to the pictures, the Ukrainian forces describe the soldiers captured in the battles as occupiers.

The same official page also published pictures of what it said were Russian forces' vehicles that were destroyed and others seized during the clashes.

Other videos released by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces showed a video clip of a downed Russian K52 helicopter.

Another video clip shows what the Ukrainian forces said was the destruction of a Russian military convoy by drones.

Other clips also show scenes of Russian missile strikes on the capital, Kiev.
