Already in January, Daniel Wiström felt that something nasty was going on, but the family still decided to stay in the country for a while.

When the Ministry for Foreign Affairs heard about it, they decided to drive the 120 miles home to Sweden together with their three youngest children.

But two children are still in the country.

- Our teenage children were in a ski resort in the Ukrainian mountains and went skiing.

We hope that they can now get out by train on Wednesday, says Daniel Wiström.

The country is mobilizing militarily

The parents are now worried that the son, who has dual citizenship and will turn 18 in two months, may be called up for the army.

- I am worried because Ukraine has introduced mobilization and men over the age of 18 are stopped from leaving the country.

But I hope for the best, says Daniel Wiström

Daniel Wiström is an active leisure politician for the Christian Democrats in Sundbyberg municipality.
