A new framework was launched for the public and private sectors and NPOs to work together to tackle the problems of loneliness and isolation, and the establishment general meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office on the 25th.

As the problem of loneliness and isolation is becoming more serious due to the prolonged influence of the new coronavirus, the government has launched a new framework "Public-Private Partnership Platform for Measures against Solitude and Isolation" to work with local governments, companies, and NPOs to solve the problem. It was launched and the establishment general meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office on the 25th.

Prime Minister Kishida was also scheduled to attend the general meeting, but because he was unable to attend due to the Diet deliberations, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Isozaki said, "I am worried because there are various issues such as poor living, suicide prevention, and child poverty. In order to deliver detailed support to each and every one of them, cooperation between the public, private sector, NPO, etc. is indispensable. "

Based on this framework, we will set up subcommittees for each theme to discuss countermeasures, and hold workshops to exchange opinions on on-site issues with support groups and local government officials.

In addition, we will provide information on government support measures to support groups and local governments to encourage efforts to prevent loneliness and isolation.
