Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a video clip while touring with a number of officials in the center of the capital, Kiev, at a time when Russian forces were trying to invade the capital.

Zelensky appeared in the video with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and a number of other ministers, in response to rumors that he had left the country for a safe place, and Zelensky said, "We are all ready to defend Ukraine."

In previous statements, Zelensky invited his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table, and Zelensky accused Europe of responding insufficiently to the Russian attack and of being slow in providing assistance.

The Ukrainian president said that Europe can still stop the aggression if it moves quickly, hours after denouncing that no Western country supported his country in this battle.

Fierce fighting broke out today, Friday, in the Apollon district of Kiev, with the Russian forces advancing towards the Ukrainian capital, on the second day of the military operation launched by Russia against its western neighbor, while the battles continued on several other fronts.
