This Thursday evening, the Anonymous collective declared on Twitter to be "officially in cyberwar against the Russian government", in reaction to the invasion of Ukraine.
Followed by more than 600,000 people on the social network, the group of hackers then announced that it had taken the website of the television channel Russia Today (RT) offline, according to the pure player Les Numériques.
The pro-Russian channel supported by the Kremlin confirmed this cyberattack before managing to restore the situation.
Attacks were also reportedly made on the websites of the Russian presidency, the government and the lower house of parliament, which became intermittently inaccessible to Russian and Kazakh users.
The Anonymous collective is officially in cyber war against the Russian government.

US threatens Russia with cyberattacks
In the past, Anonymous had already distinguished itself by committing targeted cyberattacks against the Islamic State or the Ku Klux Klan.
Since Thursday, the forums of the collective have become very active.
Many volunteers have offered to help in this cyber war against Russia.
The group could also have a major ally with the United States.
According to NBC News, relayed by our colleagues, President Joe Biden would consider carrying out cyberattacks against Russia in order to hinder his military operations in Ukraine.
According to our colleagues, the United States could thus disrupt Internet connectivity in the country, cut the power supply or even alter the switches of the railway to limit the resupply of Russian troops.
