• "We take care of wine" is a company that has been offering tastings and boxes to taste in Bordeaux Métropole since the beginning of 2020.

  • Tasting workshops are organized each month by a wine merchant and, on this occasion, subscribers collect a box with bottles.

  • The wines offered, carefully selected by the wine merchant who founded the company, are all organic, biodynamic or natural.

To discover organic, biodynamic or natural wines that cannot be found elsewhere, this is the objective of Grégoire Domingie, a Bordelais who launched his company "We take care of wine" in early 2020. Former cellar master in a shop in the center of Bordeaux, he trained in contact with winegrowers and has been selecting wines since 2013. "I learned on the job, meeting the winegrowers in the estates, harvesting and vinifying a little" , he explains.

He wants to share his passion by offering "experience boxes" in the Bordeaux metropolis.

“We taste, we have a good time and everyone leaves with their bottles,” he summarizes.

He reserves for his subscribers the nuggets that have caught his attention over the course of his career, all worked by small independent winegrowers from all over France, but also from abroad (Spain and Portugal in particular).

It offers tastings in restaurants in Bordeaux, different every month, with which it forges partnerships.

He has his customers taste four wines, offered with various dishes (cheeses, chocolate, oysters, etc.)

A “beautiful diversity” of wines

It is he who leads the dance, introducing his customers to natural wines sometimes without sulfur or sulphites, "which can be surprising at first sight", he believes, when one is used to drinking conventional wines.

He delivers his favorites during evenings that bring together up to 15 people.

"They taste things on which they have

a priori

and they can then change their minds," he slips.

After a tasting that lasts between 1h and 1h30, the moment can be prolonged if you like, “and it always is”, laughs the wine merchant.

At the end of the evening, customers collect their box with their two bottles.

"So that's six wines to discover (with the four tasted during the evening), it's a great diversity", underlines Grégoire Domingie.

Its offer currently attracts people aged 30 to 55 who are aware of organic or natural wines.

The subscription (one tasting and two beautiful organic bottles) is €25 for one person and €35 for a couple.

"Local prices", comments the wine merchant, who is already imagining extending his offer beyond the borders of Bordeaux.
