Olenchenko recalled that Zeman has always taken a balanced position

“We cannot say that she was pro-Russian, but at the same time she was not anti-Russian,” the expert explained.

At the same time, the analyst emphasized that the thesis about the need to disconnect Russia from SWIFT is “a product of a non-Czech mind.”

“As you know, the United States began to generate this idea a few years ago.

The issue of tough talk or sanctions is also not a Czech invention... The thesis about supporting Ukraine is again an American thesis.

It is unfortunate that Zeman moved away from a balanced position and took an unconstructive pro-American position, ”he said.

The specialist also expressed regret that there are fewer politicians in Europe who are capable of "an objective perception of events."

Earlier, Zeman called for Russia to be disconnected from the SWIFT system due to the start of a special operation in Ukraine.
