A doctor suspected of trafficking false health passes was arrested this week in Fouesnant, we learned from the gendarmes of Finistère.
The investigation began in September after the publication of messages on social networks indicating that a general practitioner was likely to issue fraudulent health passes.
The hearing of several residents who had used the services of the doctor enabled the investigators to update this traffic.
With the support of the Rennes branch of the Central Office for the fight against attacks on the environment and public health and the gendarmerie company, the practitioner was arrested and placed in police custody.
False certificates against payment
The latter admitted "having established between 400 and 450 false certificates for remuneration", specify the gendarmes of Finistère on their Facebook page.
A judicial investigation for establishing false health documents, endangering the lives of others and fraud against the Primary Health Insurance Fund has been opened.
Presented Wednesday before the Quimper prosecutor's office, the doctor was placed under judicial control and therefore prohibited from practicing.
