This was stated by the first secretary of the Russian diplomatic mission in The Hague, Irina Gridina.

According to her, on February 22, Shulgin was invited to the deputy political director of the Dutch Foreign Ministry.

“Where was a performance made to him in connection with our recognition of the LPR and DPR,” RIA Novosti quotes her.

She also said that Russia was urged to reconsider the decision and return to the negotiation formats.

“They called on the Netherlands to follow our example, at the same time they warned the Dutch against a sanctions confrontation with our country, which is fraught with negative consequences for the already difficult Russian-Dutch relations at the present time,” Gridina said.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of the Netherlands summoned Shulgin because of the situation in Ukraine.
