A draft proposal on closing the border of Ukraine with Russia and Belarus was submitted to the Rada

This is reported by TASS with reference to the Ukrainian parliament.

The explanatory note to the document clarifies that the adoption of the project is due to the fact of "Russia's military aggression" and the creation of "occupation administrations in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions."

Earlier, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry stated that it was in favor of a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees on Russia's recognition of the independence of the LNR and the DNR.
