Declared dead in 2015

After multiple unsuccessful searches, the animal was finally listed as "deceased" in 2015 by the microchip manufacturer.

However, a phone call reporting to California authorities a stray animal on a rural property changed everything on February 10.

The reunion could be done with the owner of the dog because it had fortunately not changed phone in twelve years.

The number indicated on the chip was therefore still his.

"I certainly didn't expect this to happen, I'm really moved," said Zoey's mistress.
