During the 1960s, flour aunts began to appear in the country's schools.

The initiative was then phased out in many places in Sweden, but in a motion to the City Council, the Liberals in Boden write that the classic flourtant should return - in a modern version.

- It will be about preventive work such as old classic flour rinsing, but also how to brush your teeth in the best way and how to use dental floss and electric toothbrushes, says Hendrik Andersson (L) group leader in Boden.

In addition to the motion on the flourtant, the party has also produced seven proposals for the Norrbotten Region to create a more accessible dental care.

Among other things, the Liberals want to streamline the queuing system, involve private dentists and recruit foreign dentists.

The Regional Council wants to raise wages

SVT Norrbotten has for a long time reported on the dental crisis in the county and how people with acute problems do not receive help, neither from the National Dental Service nor the private actors.

At the beginning of February, the regional board decided on a number of measures to recruit more dentists to Norrbotten.

Among other things, salaries are raised and newly hired dentists are given a bonus of an extra monthly salary.

But Hendrik Andersson, group leader for the Liberals in Boden, believes that one should also invest in preventive dental care.

- The idea is that we will put the exercise in all Norrbotten's municipalities.
