The Russian Investigative Committee opened a case after the death and injury of civilians in Donbass during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

“A criminal case has been opened on the facts of the death and injury of civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of massive shelling of the Ukrainian security forces,” the statement on the website of the Investigative Committee says.

According to the investigation, on February 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the settlements of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR using heavy weapons and mortars.

Earlier, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to investigate new criminal actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Donbass and the Rostov region.
