NATO condemns Putin's recognition of separatists in Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin's recognition of two separatist regions in eastern Ukraine, saying the move violates agreements signed by Moscow.

"I condemn Russia's decision to recognize the unilaterally proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic +, which further undermines Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, weakens efforts to resolve the conflict, and violates the Minsk Agreements, to which Russia is a party," Stoltenberg said in a statement.
