The General Company for the Automotive and Equipment Industry of the Iraqi Ministry of Industry announced the production of Chinese “BAIC” cars with modern specifications, amid a remarkable turnout from citizens, noting that “it is also continuing to produce French Peugeot and Iranian Saipa cars.” With modern specifications.

The director of the car factory and specialized equipment in the company, Nahed Rashid Al-Salihi, said in a statement published by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the new "BAIC" cars carry modern specifications and are equipped with all safety and security conditions and are subject to inspection and quality control processes, and are witnessing an increasing demand in the Iraqi market.

Al-Salihi confirmed that the new BAIC cars are powered by highly efficient engines, and that the specifications of the engine and gearbox are similar to those of the Japanese Mitsubishi cars, pointing out that the cars are offered for sale at an affordable price with a one-year warranty for vehicle maintenance and repair.

Al-Salihi explained that "the company's cadres of engineers and technicians have completed the assembly and production of the first batch of (120) cars, of which (80) cars are ready and (40) other cars are in the process of being examined," noting that work is continuing to assemble and produce the second batch of (120). car.

He stressed that the other payments depend on the capabilities of the company's cadres with experience and training in assembling various types of cars, explaining that the assembly and production line of cars consists of 30 assembly stations and 6 main inspection stations by specialized examiners who are trained in this work.
