A 30-year-old was brought before the Avignon Criminal Court (Vaucluse) this Friday for acts of theft and fraud.

She was sentenced to three years in prison and will have to reimburse the victims, reveals

The 35-year-old pretended to be a nurse or a home help to enter elderly people's homes and steal money from them.

The total damage is estimated at 2,500 euros.

The facts were committed between October 2021 and January 2022. The daughter of a 102-year-old victim gave the alert.

A heroin addiction

A total of 17 people filed complaints.

The suspect was arrested with her companion on January 16.

At the helm, the couple said they suffered from a heroin addiction.

The 30-year-old contested six of the 17 charges against her and was acquitted for two of them.

For his part, his companion received a twelve-month suspended prison sentence.
