An accident involving a TER and a car occurred this Monday morning in Lanester in Morbihan, reports

Around 7:30 a.m., a vehicle entered a level crossing before remaining immobilized in the middle of the tracks.

A train traveling on the Lorient-Vannes axis could not avoid the collision.

The shock was very violent and the vehicle was ejected more than ten meters from the site of the accident, specifies the daily.

The 37-year-old driver of the car died instantly.

No one was injured inside the train which was carrying 68 passengers.

Interrupted in both directions after the collision, rail traffic gradually resumed in the area in the middle of the morning.
