France convened a meeting on security in connection with the situation around Ukraine

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had held urgent consultations with Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and convened a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

During the meeting, members of the Russian Security Council called for the recognition of the independence of the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
