Biden had a conversation with Zelensky against the backdrop of Russia's decision to recognize the LPR and DPR

“This afternoon from 14:05 (22:05 Moscow time) to 14:40 (22:40 Moscow time), President Biden had a secure telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Zelensky,” he said.

According to him, the US administration plans to release a more detailed statement following the conversation between Zelensky and Biden.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
