Bahraini Deputy Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Khalifa said that the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad) is officially and publicly present in Bahrain.
Al-Khalifa added - in a session attended by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference - that "there is intelligence cooperation between Bahrain and Israel," and that "the Mossad is present in Bahrain and is present in the region."

He continued, "If this security cooperation between Bahrain and Israel means providing more security and stability, so be it. If it means preserving the lives of innocent civilians, so be it."
The Bahraini official stated that the official media in his country announced more than once the reception of officials from the Mossad in Bahrain, and considered that security and intelligence cooperation is "part of the existing partnership with Israel," and stressed that this would continue.
