National Education is reducing the health protocol in schools from the start of the school year, in particular by lifting the obligation to wear a mask during recess.

The pupils of zone B are the first to experiment with this new protocol, and the joy is already in place in front of a school in Strasbourg.

A pinch of joy, all the same, for the start of the school year for the pupils of zone B. Monday morning, in Strasbourg, it is a return to school less painful than expected.

As for Jeanne, in CM1, and her little sister Juliette, in CE1.

What gives them the most pleasure is being able to mingle with students from other classes.

"Me, I'm happy to see the girlfriends again," says Jeanne.

"There are many who are in other classes and whom I would like to see. It's going to be great!", Exclaims the young girl at the microphone of Europe 1.

"They can't take the mask anymore"

For this start of the school year, the National Education has lifted the obligation to wear a mask outside in schools, in particular during recess.

"They talk to us about it every night, they can't take the mask anymore", underlines their dad, Anthony, particularly satisfied with this measure.

"This is good news", continues Jeanne.

"It's going to be much better because it hurts my ears. And not breathing much, I don't really like it," explains the young girl.

Other good news: almost finished the hassle of self-tests.

Only one is now enough on D+2 if a student is in contact, instead of three previously.

"For two weeks, we had to test every two or three days. A self-test is more than enough," sighs the father.

And Jeanne continues: "That way, we will have less nose pain."

Everyone hopes for only one thing: a total return to normal with soon perhaps, the end of the wearing of the mask in the classroom.
