At 11 pm on Sunday evening, it was small in several places around Norra Vägen in central Kalmar.
A large police operation on suspected shooting was launched.
But pretty soon it turned out that it was not about shootings, but about young people who fired fireworks, something that Dagens Kalmar was the first to report on.
The police had then received several alarms regarding the loud bangs, and large resources were deployed.
When it became clear that this was not a shooting, the operation was stopped.
- It is a mischief to do this when it is so uneasy in Kalmar, says Robert Loeffel, the police's press spokesperson to the newspaper.
