A government committee to look into grievances of workers and owners of establishments in the private sector.. Know how it works

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation issued a decision to form a committee to consider the grievances submitted by the two parties to the contractual work relationship regarding the decisions issued by the Ministry against any of them.

This comes in implementation of the Federal Decree-Law on Regulating Labor Relationships and its Executive Regulations, which emphasizes the principle of integrity and transparency in dealing with employers and workers, and providing a special channel for their voices to be heard regarding the decisions taken by the Ministry related to any of them, especially in terms of grievances against the decision to refuse work permits and administrative fines. Suspension of the facility, grievance against the prohibition of granting a work permit to the worker, and other decisions.

The ministerial decision specified a period of 30 days for submitting the grievance request, calculated from the date the complainant became aware of the decision issued by the Ministry against him, provided that the request is justified and all supporting documents are attached to it.

The grievance request will be decided upon within 15 working days from the date of its submission, and the grievance applicant and the organizational units in the ministry will be notified of their decisions to take the necessary action in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the submission of grievances is through the ministry’s website, mohre.gov.ae, or through the ministry’s smart application, which is available in the Apple Store and Google Play, where the complainant will be notified of the result upon completion of the consideration of the request by the committee.

The applicant can follow up his request by entering the inquiry service on the ministry’s website, through its smart application, or through the call center 80060.
