According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, at 15:22 on February 21, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake occurred 16 kilometers northwest of Abra De Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, the capital Metro Manila. The earthquake was felt in some cities in the region.

The focal depth was 106 kilometers, and the epicenter was located at 13.58 degrees north latitude and 120.68 degrees east longitude.

The earthquake is expected to have aftershocks, but no damage.
