Two people died and 11 were injured in a bus and vehicle collision on the "Abu Dhabi - Al Ain" road

Two people died and 11 others were injured, ranging in severity to medium (all of them of Asian nationality), in a collision between a bus and a vehicle in the Ramah area on the Abu Dhabi road towards Al Ain.

Lt. Col. Saif Naif Al Ameri, Deputy Director of the Traffic Department in Al Ain, explained that preliminary investigations showed that the cause of the accident was due to sudden deviation, preoccupation with other than the road, excessive speed and not leaving a sufficient safety distance between vehicles.

The Command and Control Center of the Operations Department in the Central Operations Sector received a report of the accident, so the police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defense patrols "ambulances, field hospitals and rescue patrols" moved to the site, which rescued the injured and transferred them to Tawam Hospital and Shakhbout Medical City.

The Director of the Traffic Department in Al Ain urged drivers and road users to abide by the traffic law, warning of the danger of sudden deviation and the resulting painful accidents.

He called on drivers to pay attention, focus and watch the road, use traffic lights when changing lanes, use mirrors to make sure there is space to move to the other lane, and stick to the lanes without changing them.
