“Political pressure was exerted on the Iranian people and claims were made, which is fraught with undermining the prospects for reaching an agreement,” Raisi said in a statement on the Iranian leader’s website.

According to him, any agreement in Vienna should include provisions for the lifting of sanctions, the provision of valid guarantees and the settlement of political issues.

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, head of the Iranian delegation at the talks in Vienna, Ali Bagheri Kani, said that the parties to the negotiations on the nuclear deal in Vienna are close to concluding an agreement. 

The Russian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, spoke out against the establishment of artificial deadlines in the negotiations on the JCPOA and welcomed the continuation of consultations on its restoration.
