DRC: Turkish President under the sign of economic and security cooperation

Strengthening of cooperation between the DRC and Turkey.

The two countries have signed agreements in the areas of economy and security.

Agreements signed during the trip of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the DRC.

The Turkish presidential couple arrived in Kinshasa this Sunday, at the head of a strong delegation from the country.

Greeted on his arrival at the airport by the Congolese Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan was received at the start of the evening at the Palais de la Nation by President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi.

There followed a tete-a-tete between the two heads of state, before the signing of the trade agreements since the Turkish president traveled with businessmen from his country and members of his government.

These include agreements in the security field as well as those on health, infrastructure and transport.

Without giving more details, President Félix Tshisekedi, who spoke at the end of the session, said he was satisfied with this bilateral cooperation.

According to him, it is a win-win partnership which now binds the two nations.

This Monday, the two presidents will have a final meeting, before a visit to the site which will house the next Turkish embassy in Kinshasa.

Remember that a Turkish school is already established in the Congolese capital, a cultural and educational institution placed under the control of the Maarif Foundation of Turkey.

Recep Tayip Erdogan is expected to leave Kinshasa shortly before noon.
