Älvkarlerby Idrottsklubb has become like a second home for a group of unaccompanied young people. One of them is Lamin Jawneh who through football could find a way to enter Swedish society. - Football is a language that everyone can, no matter where you come from, says Markus Oksanen, person responsible for the integration team.
Lamin Jawneh fled to Sweden from Gambia in 2016.
- When I came here I could not speak Swedish but we communicated through football.
Markus has helped me a lot, he says.
Markus Oksanen has been nominated for an award for his efforts for the young people in Älvkarleby.
