Q: What are your impressions after this contest?

A: "6.05m is a good jump and a good result but I have mixed feelings. I really wanted to pass 6.19m. I have this expectation and I know that it is indoors that I would have the best conditions to break my world record, without wind. I know I can do it and I can't get it out of my mind. But it's already huge to pass 6 m and improve the best performance of the season."

Q: How are you feeling right now?

A: "I feel good in my jumps. What I'm doing is pretty consistent and I manage to clear 6m in every competition at the moment. It's very good. There's just one little thing missing. The Indoor Worlds ( March 18-20 in Belgrade, editor's note) will be very important for me because I have never won them before. This will be the main objective of the winter."

Q: You dominate the discipline so much that it seems that you fight more against the bars than against your opponents...

A: "It's always like that and it's the same for everyone. We all want to win and have the best place. But pole vaulting is above all a competition between you and the bar. Apart from when you are at the Olympics or at the World Championships, where you don't care about anything else except your position. But in the other competitions, I just want to jump as high as possible."
