Burkina Faso: large rally in support of the junta in Ouagadougou

Thousands of people gathered at the call of several civil society organizations to support the ruling MPSR in Ouagadougou.
The rally, according to the organizers, had a single purpose, to support the momentum of patriotic upheaval of the junta in its reconquest of the localities occupied by the armed groups.
The organizers appealed to the junta to unite all Burkinabè around this struggle.

Basile Dah is the coordinator of the Faso Renaissance Initiative.
His organization took part in the meeting to support, he said, “
the momentum of patriotic outburst that the soldiers have to save Burkina Faso
”.
“
They did not perpetrate a coup, but liberated Burkina Faso.
And as long as President Damiba works for Burkina Faso, we will always support him
,” explained Anaïs Drabo, from the Sauvons le Burkina movement.
Security, peace, the return of internally displaced persons to their places of origin, this is the work that awaits the MPSR as a priority, recalled all the speakers at the podium.
And to win this war against terrorism, Adama Tiendrebeogo, known as colonel, proposes a diversification of the partners and the example of Algeria by giving weapons to the populations.
"
We can't continue with the same partner
," he says.
"
We already congratulate France for what it is already doing, but we need other partners to help us find the solution
," he said.
Even if young people waved flags and portraits of the Russian president, the organizers clarified that the rally was not intended to appeal to any power.
