New case of domestic violence in Catalonia.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 52-year-old resident of Martorell for allegedly killing his partner at the family home.
Local police officers have found the suspect around 11 in the morning next to the victim's body after being alerted by neighbors.
The home was also attended by Mossos patrols as well as the health services that have verified that the woman was dead.
In addition, the suspect was arrested and transferred to a health center since he had some injuries.
Police sources point out that the accused attempted suicide after killing his partner with a knife.
The Mossos criminal investigation unit has taken charge of the case while the court ordered the secrecy of the proceedings.
