In the mainland of the United States, except for Hawaii, all state-level mandatory masks are expected to disappear soon.

The New York Times (NYT) reported on the 17th local time that the last remaining New Mexico and Washington states announced a plan to lift the mask compulsory measure, and reported that the state-level mask compulsory requirement would soon disappear on the mainland.

As a result, of the 50 states in the United States, only Hawaii has either already lifted the mandatory mask or has not announced a plan to abolish it.

This is because most of the states where the Republican governor is located have never implemented a widespread statewide mask requirement, but Democratic-leaning states that have introduced relatively strict quarantine measures have recently announced that they will lift or lift the mask requirement.

However, some states have decided to leave school masks mandatory.

New Mexico, Washington, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts have had their school districts decide on their own mask guidelines, but New York and California have yet to come up with plans to repeal them.
