Photographer QT Long's landscape shots adorn the moving walkway in the US Pavilion, captured by his lens of American parks and their magical landscapes, out of his eagerness to share their beauty with the world, and to encourage people to connect with nature and protect what we have.

QT Long said, during his visit to "Expo 2020 Dubai", the day before yesterday, about the sources from which he drew his inspiration: "When we spend most of our time inside cities, just being in the wilderness is what gives us a place to catch our breath, and allows us to generate a connection Deep with the world and escape from the chores of daily life, connecting with living things, living creatures for me is a space for solace, inspiration and healing.”

Long, who is concluding his exhibition today, indicated that he would like to return to the UAE, but this time with a camera in hand. “I felt very welcome here, and many advised me to visit the desert, and told me about its enchanting beauty, so I would like to return.

And in the Saudi pavilion, pictures of nature, I did not know that they had such a beautiful and diverse landscape, so I would be interested to see that too.”

"Initially I was a mountaineer and used my camera to show the beauty of the Alps to those who couldn't get there," Long added.

Then I was walking in the parks and walking around, and climbing, and had to learn to paddle and snorkel to get more pictures, so it was a great adventure that gave me great joy.

I want to inspire people to experience the same joy for themselves, because the bonds they will create with nature will enrich their lives.”

Long began documenting photographs of America's national parks in 1993 and, after 23 years, decided the project was complete, publishing the images in the best-selling book Treasurelands: A Photographic Odyssey through America's National Parks Precious Lands: A Photographic Journey Through the National Parks of America.
