10 startup companies for entrepreneurs from HCT students and graduates competed in a competition held at the conclusion of the "Creative Economic Free Zones" forum organized by the Higher Colleges of Technology over a period of three days at Expo 2020. These companies represent the outputs of the colleges' economic zones that provide services, solutions and products economically feasible.

Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology, Professor Abdul Latif Al Shamsi, said: “The colleges’ role is no longer confined to graduating students only, but has expanded to graduating companies and entrepreneurs from among the Emirati youth, who are today more aware of the market, its challenges and requirements, and more eager and ambitious to establish their own business, This enhances the direct contribution of the colleges to the economic development of the country.”



He pointed out that the colleges, through the Free Creative Economic Zones, which they have worked on since 2019 until today, have a good basis of knowledge, experience and partnerships to support students in moving towards transforming their innovative projects and ideas into startup companies through the "Startup Development" program.

And "Sora" company achieved the first place, which is a delivery company that seeks to be one of the leading future companies in providing advanced technology solutions for the transportation and delivery of goods.

The company is developing an intelligent system for managing personal mailboxes, for its founder Khaled Al-Sabahi.

While the second place went to the company "E-Bakery", which seeks to make a shift in the way consumers shop for baked goods.

Through the company's digital platform, consumers can order a variety of high-quality baked goods from many bakeries, and "E-Bakery" focuses on providing an outstanding service by enabling customers to choose from multiple suppliers while providing a seamless payment experience, as well as managing orders, receipt details and orders Private, for its founder Ahmed Shaye.

In third place, Kanz Art is an art platform that allows artists to present their works and masterpieces to all segments of society through a thriving art and commercial scene, and its vision is to enable communication and interaction between artists, curators, collaborators and the entire community at the level of the region and anywhere Another place in the world, for its founder Ali Al Nowais.
