The wooden floor has been worn when the building received more than half a million visitors each year since opening in 2006.
The culture committee in Halmstad municipality has now decided to temporarily close the library for two months for the renovation.
In the meantime, we welcome you to our other libraries in the municipality, says Martin Gillgren, department manager for the libraries in Halmstad, in a press release.
The art gallery in the same building will also be closed until 31 August.
