The order on the distribution of subsidies for the airports of the Arkhangelsk region, Chechnya and the Trans-Baikal Territory from the federal budget was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“We are talking about the reconstruction of the Solovki airport in the Arkhangelsk region, the reconstruction and construction of the Severny airport terminal in Grozny, as well as the reconstruction of the airport complex in the village of Chara in Transbaikalia,” the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement.

This year, about 300 million rubles will be spent on the modernization of the Solovki airport, and more than 430 million rubles will be spent on updating the complex in the village of Chara.

The most ambitious work was planned for the airport terminal in Grozny - more than 4.5 billion rubles were allocated for their implementation.

Earlier it was reported that the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the United States Department of Transportation will provide grants in the amount of $ 8 billion to airports across the country to help combat the consequences of the pandemic.
