BEIJING, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- An American couple stumbled across a World War II-era scrapbook detailing a tragic love story in a home they were restoring.

The couple shared the story on social media, with netizens saying, "I cried, it's like a movie."

  American couple Kevin and Laine Berry have recently begun restoring their home in Monticello, which was built in 1896.

Among the belongings of the former owner, they found a scrapbook of memories of the former owner's daughter, Marjorie Mae Ingram, and her relationship with her beloved Clifford Lamb The love story of Clifford Laverne Fluitt during World War II.
