Dubai is the third safest city for women in the world
A study conducted by Insure My Trip revealed that Dubai is the third safest city for women to travel to;
This is thanks to the city's very low crime rate.
“Overall, Dubai has a very low crime rate and is a very safe place for women to travel,” said the study by Insure Mytrip, a UK-based travel insurance company.
Most public transport in Dubai provides a section dedicated to women only.
Dubai ranked very high in the index in terms of women's safety, and the emirate scored 9.43 points out of 10 in the measure of women's feeling of safety while walking alone at night, and 8.64 points in the absence of assault on women.
Recently, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah were ranked among the top 10 safest cities globally in a report issued by data service provider Namibo.
The three emirates ranked highly in terms of safety and the absence of crime.
According to the study, Medina ranked first among the safest cities for women, with a score of 10/10, while Chiang Mai in Thailand ranked second with 9.06 points.
