In turn, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said that Russia is allegedly trying to fabricate a pretext for escalation in Ukraine in order to justify its subsequent “invasion” of its territory.

Olenchenko stressed that Truss and Austin's statements cannot be called objective. 

In addition, in his opinion, such statements indicate ignorance of the position of the Russian authorities.

The analyst also drew attention to the fact that both politicians "act in unison."

“There is one more evidence that the tension around Ukraine was created artificially,” he added.

According to the interlocutor of RT, such speeches "retain tension." 

Earlier, Austin said that Russia continues to build up its forces on the border with Ukraine, in Belarus, in the Black Sea, and "this leads to the fact that Russian troops are on the threshold of NATO."
