“Since 2014, we have already provided $5.6 billion in support to Ukraine, including security assistance,” Sherman said in an interview with European Pravda.
According to her, the American side will continue to provide the Ukrainian people with defense, humanitarian and economic support.
Earlier, the European Parliament approved the decision of the EU Council on the allocation of a new aid package to Ukraine in the amount of €1.2 billion.
In addition, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the United States offered Ukraine sovereign loan guarantees of up to $1 billion.
