The French will once again be able to go dancing.

Closed nightclubs are reopening today, after two months of closure due to the latest wave.

But in total, they had to lower the curtain twenty months in two years of crisis.

There were 1,600 nightclubs in France before the Covid, there are only 1,500 today and the toll could increase further.

The party can finally begin!

After the end of 2021 and the start of 2022 marked by health restrictions, the nightclubs are reopening today.

In total, they had to lower the curtain twenty months in two years of crisis.

There were 1,600 nightclubs in France before the Covid, there are only 1,500 today and the toll could increase further.

Insufficient state aid in the long term

Admittedly, most of the 1,500 discos that have survived so far intend to open from today.

State aid has in particular made it possible to avoid the carnage.

But that won't necessarily be enough in the long run.

Especially since it will be necessary to start reimbursing the prices guaranteed by the State from April.

Postponements will be possible, but on a case-by-case basis.

There are bound to be some who will not survive it, according to their representatives.

Find solutions with the banking community

“Of course we are delighted to reopen. But beware, the economic health of our companies is not the best”, warns Christian Jouny, one of their representatives.

"And bankers don't give gifts, money that is lent. So obviously, we raised this subject with the government. We were told 'don't worry, we will try to find solutions with the community. bank'. I can't. It's a case-by-case measure and case-by-case measures, unfortunately, will not solve all situations", he laments on Europe 1.

According to him, it will be necessary to wait at least a quarter to be able to make an initial assessment.

It will therefore be after the presidential election.
